Kpop Sensation EXO beats One Direction in the worldwide album sales; Former EXO member Luhan releases second trailer for album “Reloaded”
South Korean boy band, EXO, clashed against English-Irish pop sensation, One Direction, for its 2015 album sales. The group's "EXODUS" album toppled 1D's "Four" album in the list of the worldwide group album sales for 2015. On the other hand, former band mate Luhan just released the second trailer of his album "Reloaded", which is now available online.
SM Entertainment released the second album "EXODUS" on March 30, 2015. At the very beginning of the album release, the KPop album gained the fifth spot above the British-Irish boy band, One Direction.
Korean-based website Instiz claimed that EXO is the only South Korean group that achieved a spot in the top-ten list of album sales. The Kpop group proved that they really are an established band as they sold 905,000 units for their "EXODUS" album against One Direction's album which only had 869,000 units sales record worldwide.
According to Movie News Guide, the international ranking of album sales also featured American and English bands. Headlining the list was veteran Aussie hard-rockers AC/DC with their latest work titled "Rock Or Bust" with 1,141,000 sales, British folkies made their way to the second rank for "Wilder Mind" with 1,069,000 sales, along with, the Adam Levine's "Maroon 5" album at the third spot with 1,020,000 sales and alternative band Imagine Dragons held on the fourth spot with 909,000 sales.
With EXO's success with their album sales, former band mate Luhan also released his second album "Reloaded".
Former EXO Member Tao aka Huang Zitao Receives Support from Kpop Band Tasty; Will they Team Up?
EXO Member Tao aka Huang Zitao is going through a legal dispute with SM Entertainment.
The male twins from Kpop band Tasty, Daeryong and Soryong, attended the first solo mini concert of former EXO member Tao and showed their support to him.
The duo shared photos of the recently held free music concert on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo and in some of the photos, they can be seen posing with the Chinese entertainer, according to Koreaboo.
The twins even showed their support to the former Kpop star and wrote: "Tao's concert over! Thumbs up!"
The music event was performed for the victims of Tianjin explosion, which killed more than 100 and left several injured.
Since Daeryong and Soryong are currently going through a legal battle with their entertainment agency Woollim Entertainment, there is buzz that the two may team up with the former EXO member.
Meanwhile, Tao filed an official lawsuit against South Korean record label SM Entertainment at Seoul Central District Court on Monday, 24 August.
Although he cited health issues and unfair treatment as the primary reasons for terminating his contract, the entertainment agency said that they will take legal steps against the singer for illegal promotional activities in China.
Tao is the third Chinese member from the boy band EXO to file contract nullification case against SM Entertainment after Kris aka Wu Yifan and Luhan. Since all three of them have cited unfair treatment as a primary reason for terminating their contract, it remains to be seen how the legal battle affects their professional life.
